The New Markets in Consultancy
A turning point towards a new and unconventional philosophy in consulting!
How business value, people-orientated consulting, wisdom counsellors, identity consulting and job coaches, strength finders and developers of potential are changing the world!
Arthur D. Little was formed in 1886 in the USA as the world's first consultancy company. In 2002 the company was forced to apply for creditor protection and was in danger of collapse. In Germany, the entire consulting industry is in a state of massive change and undergoing a complicated process of consolidation.
There is no longer a ‘classical’ type of consulting as this can no longer survive in the market. Social modernisation does not stop at the consulting industry. The following contributions describe what the future for consultants looks like in the area of management consultancy and organisational change.
Future horizons instead of profit maximisation!
An internal revolt takes place, at the latest, when managers reach their personal limits. Overload, pressure to perform and burnout; but also debilitating boredom or panic attacks are no longer isolated occurrences. This is making way for a completely different new generation of people-orientated consultants. They endeavour to combine traditional commercial requirements with the question of values and purpose.
- Business value
Over 40% of an organisation's commercial success can be attributed to its prevailing cultural values.
A high level of identification with the company and its goals by the employees.
This makes it significantly easier to tackle difficult and complex problems.
- Buddhism in business
A wise old saying, rediscovered. The goal: to make a company wise, compassionate and, at the same time, highly profitable! The founder demonstrates how to do it.
Geshe Michael Roach explains in his biography "The Diamond Cutter", how an office errand boy can, thanks to Buddhist values, become the purchasing manager for a diamond company worth over a 100 million dollars.
This is clearly a new type of economics!
- Return on inspiration
Only inspired staff can create an inspired organisation, which is commercially successful.
